Is there a way to keep the screen from waking when I tilt my watch up to check time?

The "dimmed" mode is plenty bright to check time. Turning display on every time I check time seems to be a waste of battery.

Would be okay with having to tap to wake up for commands.

This is the gear live, as my LG G watch seems to need a tap to wake.

I don't see a way to do that, to be honest. You can change the brightness or the always on state on the watch itself.

EDIT... Muting the watch appears to disable the tilt activation on my G Watch. Just a FYI.

I hope there will be update which makes people able to disable that like it is possible to disable always on screen.

Edit and ability automatical to deactive the always on and tilt activite when night would be useful when could charge watch just before going to bed and then watch could on the wrist alarm buzzing and always on and/or tilt becouse watch was not on when sleeping there would be more battery left that would be able to get to evening when again could charge it.

Agree with ya there... It is still quite early days for Android Wear tho.

Hope to see lots of updates in the future.

Wow. I'm surprised that you can't disable it. Wouldn't that be a pretty big drain on the battery if you're pretty active?

You can toggle the screen always on feature to off, so that may help saving some juice. None the less, I do unintentionally turn on the face of my G Watch every now and then just by moving this way or that way.

I made the mistake of "trying" to sleep with my G Watch on the first night, learned my lesson. I had the screen enabled, and honestly didn't realize it had a tilt to activate. I woke up about 10 times before I finally took it off. Oops.

I remember seeing an article about some "baby lock" app that supposedly stops it from auto waking on movement.

I just went to a movie tonight and accidentally had several "turn that thing off!" moments as the tilt turned the screen on in a pitch black movie theater!

I found THIS ONE, but appears from it's description that it is focusing more on accidental touch than anything. I'll have to try it out tho, just to see if it defeats the auto tilt activation. Thanks!

Haha... Sad but true... I've gone just to turning it off when I go to the theater now .

Well mute the watch and make always on off when on theater. Easy fix?

I thought that as well... Sadly, even with that setup, if you brush up against the screen or tap it the screen will light up in it's full glory.

    Learned the hard way haha.

After playing with this on my G Watch tho, I now realize that muting the watch DOES disable the tilt activation... At least on mine. As mentioned above tho, the screen will still come on if you hit the screen.

Yes muting will disable tilt to activate on android wear. Just do not touch the screen with always on disabled and it will not going to be bright.

Yes! Glad it's not just me who sees this. Would really like a temp mute for tilt active.
