As I am interested in cooking I'm planning to buy a an oven. But I am not aware of the models of oven, on which is the best model. One of my friends suggested me to buy a microwave oven. Can anyone share the difference between a normal oven and a microwave oven?

Well the Microwave will cook things much faster, but generally has much less capacity, also the generally quality of the cook is not as good. A conventional oven has a much higher capacity but takes longer to cook things, but this can be mitigated by the capacity. You can have a protein (meat, fish, etc) cooking in the lower, oven part while side dishes are cooking on the stovetop burners, of which you normally have 4 to 5.
