Obviously, I know the recommended amount of steps per day is 10,000, but I am wondering what majority of people's average steps per day is? If it's well over or under 10,000 then why? Due to your job, exercise etc. ?

Mine is usually around 14,000 steps due to working long hours and having to walk around a lot.

15-20k but that's from google fit which often shows 5-6k "miscellaneous" steps that I can't really account for.....

A study tracked the steps of 1,136 adults around the United States who wore pedometers for two days in 2003. The results were compared to similar pedometer studies in Switzerland, Australia and Japan. The data collected showed that Americans, on average, took 5,117 steps a day, far short of the averages in western Australia (9,695 steps), Switzerland (9,650 steps) and Japan (7,168 steps)...lol
