    Folks,

These days many of us actually have both, BUT do we really need to? Can you get by with just your smart watch and a great fitness app for it? OR conversely do you just need a fitness band that displays a simple time listing? Or do you really want both? Lets hear it folks!

I don't have either yet but I'm all for cutting down the number if devices I have. If the watch can do the same as the fitness band then why have 2?

I have both: Nike+ SportWatch and Pebble. If I were to do it over again, I think I'd still have both...one for dedicated outdoor activities, especially running, the other for everything else.

I want an all in one but there isn't one yet that serves all my needs so I wear pebble on one wrist and an up24 on the other. Once tech catches up, it'll be a thing of the past as in a minimalist.

According to my opinion i would prefer fitness band as it is dedicated for a specific purpose but using a fitness app in a smartwatch might not serve our purpose as it is not specifically meant for that purpose. So, i think i get you some point on it.
By the way, we have recently published a article on Best fitness band to buy. Hope it would help you in any way. I would love to hear from you there.
